Ask ABC: My publication has had some recent staffing changes. How do I make sure that ABC has our most up-to-date contact information?
ABC’s service department maintains ABC’s master database, including member contact information for voting proxies, e-mails on board action summaries, invoicing and access to the online database. If you experience any change in staffing, please contact the service department and update your publication’s records. ABC’s helpful can be reached at (847) 879-8266.
Reasons to contact ABC’s service department when your staff changes:
- It’s recommended that members call ABC to change passwords when an employee leaves your company. The security of your account with ABC is at risk because your account may be open to use by other organizations unless the password is changed.
- If you experience a change in publishing companies or publisher, make sure to contact ABC with updated information. Although some information may be in the news media, members are encouraged to verify that their information is current and correct.
- ABC issues voting proxies to your designated member representative. It is important that, prior to the annual conference and meeting, held in November, that everyone who is eligible is able to vote.
- Member service reports are sent out annually. It is important that this information reaches your designated member representative. This report tells you exactly which ABC products, subscriptions and services you currently use and allows you to review your usage. You can also request a copy of this report at any time.
