Vastly Improved Media Analysis Tools Launch in June In early June, ABC will relaunch its comprehensive suite of media analysis tools available to e-Data subscribers. The redesigned tools will feature a more streamlined navigation system, intuitive flow and easy-to-read reports. "The new look and functionality of the e-Data tools provide more valuable user interaction with ABC data," commented Gladys Searcy, ABC’s director of marketing and sales. "The market search feature that allows users to find publications by specific states and down to ZIP code level and the ability to create customizable eFAS-FAX reports are both timesavers and welcome enhancements to the tool." The new e-Data tools were designed to improve workflow and efficiency. Some of the improvements include enhanced search functionality, streamlined navigation, faster data processing and the ability to create customized reports. Unlike the current e-Data tools that require users to search by product, the new e-Data tools begin with a search by title, parent company, classification or circulation. After entering a search, results appear in multiple product tabs across the top of the page. Subscribers then have the option to create batch reports that enable them to view several publications and reports at one time. With the new search options, subscribers can select specific titles to download into customized FAS-FAX reports rather than viewing all of the titles. This new search feature allows them to conduct side-by-side comparisons for analyses. “The redesigned home page features a “Help” section that goes through step-by-step instructions on getting started with the tools and helpful tips on how to conduct searches,” said Searcy. “The new tools also feature on-demand tutorials that walk users through the steps on creating customized analyses.” Using the new e-Data tool is easy. Step 1: Conduct a search by title, parent company, market area, classification type or circulation size.
Step 2: Select a timeframe and publication titles (Select one, all or hold down the CTRL key and choose several titles).
Step 3: Choose a product tab and begin your analysis.
