e-Data Tips and Tricks: Rapid Report Enhancements

When ABC relaunched the e-Data center earlier this year, part of the redesign included new reporting options for ABC Rapid Report data. This month’s column reviews the new reports and a new way to access the Rapid Report tool.

Step 1

Login to the e-Data center.

Step 2

Access Rapid Report as a separate module and then conduct a search of Rapid Report participants based on title, parent company or SRDS classification. Choose the title(s) to include in your search.

Step 3

Choose from one of three available reports:

• Single-publication report
• Issue-comparison report
• Six-month average report

Single-Publication Report

This is the traditional Rapid Report output. It displays full Rapid Report data for one title.

Issue-Comparison Report

One of two new reports, the issue-comparison report allows users to conveniently compare issue-by-issue data for multiple titles in a single report.

Six-Month Average Report

The second of the two new reports, it allows users to view and compare a title’s six-month Rapid Report average with its six-month Publisher’s Statement average. Because it eliminates the issue-by-issue data, this report provides a much cleaner overview of a title’s six-month average history than the single-publication report.

Step 4

Users can download and save any of the reports in either PDF or Excel format.
