Newspapers: File Your Publisher’s Statement Online and Win a $500 Publisher Relations Training Gift Certificate or a Free Annual Conference Registration
All newspapers that use ABC’s online filing tool to submit their September 2008 Publisher’s Statement will be entered into a drawing to win a free prize. The selected winner will choose from a $500 gift certificate good for any Publisher Relations training session, including webinars, workshops or customized on-site training, or a free registration for ABC's 2008 Annual Conference valued at $795 (does not include travel or hotel accommodations). Newspapers must file their Publisher’s Statement by midnight on Oct. 15 to be eligible.
eMagTrends 2008 is Now Available Online
The 2008 release of ABC's Magazine Trend Report is available online.
The eMagTrends reference tool is designed for advertisers, advertising agencies and publishers interested in objective information on a large number of ABC-audited magazines. This five-year tabulation of paid, verified and non-paid total circulation and rate base data for U.S. and Canadian periodicals is published annually and also tracks single-copy sales, subscriptions, prices, premiums, post-expiration copies and advertising page rates.

Ten More Newspapers Sign up for ABC’s Insert Verification Service
The East Bay Area News Group has enrolled three of its newspapers, San Jose Mercury News, Oakland Tribune and Contra Costa Times, in the Insert Verification Service. Seven other newspapers, including the Charlotte Observer, the Press Enterprise, Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Daily Local News, Dallas Morning News and Star Tribune recently elected to join the program, bringing the total number of IVS participants to nearly 80 newspapers.
ABC has collaborated with newspaper members to streamline the audit process. The average cost of an IVS begins at $9,000, plus reasonable out-of-pocket travel expenses.
