Business Publications: New Paragraph 3A Enhancement to Online Filing Tool

ABC has created a new enhancement to the online filing tool to help reduce the amount of time you spend entering and revising your Paragraph 3A data. The new feature will allow you to automatically upload an existing file to populate your Publisher’s Statement. It will also allow you to extract data back into an Excel spreadsheet for easy modification if you have any changes.

Preparing Your File for Upload

If you have an Excel file with your Paragraph 3A data, you can upload it into ABC’s online filing tool. If you don’t have an Excel file, you can enter your data directly into the online filing tool.

Before you upload your file, make sure it is in a text (tab delimited) format. To change the format, select Save As from the File drop down menu and then select Text (Tab delimited) the Save as Type menu.

Entering Your Paragraph 3A Data or Uploading Your File

Step 1
Visit ABC’s Web site at www.accessabc.com. Select the Online Statement Filing button on the right side of the screen.

Step 2
Enter your login information.

Password Information

If you need a user name and password or if you have misplaced yours, please contact ABC.

Step 3
Once you have logged in, select the Enter Publisher’s Statement and FAS-FAX Data button.

Step 4
Scroll down to the section with the Paragraph 3A Business/Occupational Analysis heading. From this screen, you can either key your data directly into the boxes or you can upload your Excel file and it will automatically populate the fields.

Step 5
After you have entered your data, ABC has added an Extract to Spreadsheet feature. This feature allows you to easily revise the data and categories you have entered. To make a change, simply click Extract to Spreadsheet.

Step 6
A popup box will appear asking you if you would like to Open, Save or Cancel. Choose Open.

Step 7
A new window that displays your Paragraph 3A data will open. Now you can add or delete rows, change figures and manipulate data.

Step 8
After you have made all your changes, select File and Save As and name the file. Make sure you choose the Save as File Type button and select Tex (tab delimited). Select the Back button to return to the previous screen and then re-upload the using the Browse feature. Once you upload your file, the file will be renamed using your member number and drive period.

Step 9
To make any additional changes or to view your current data select the Display Download button. A new window will open with the data displayed in an Excel file. Please review all data before submitting your final report to ABC.
