ABC to Audit 52 Rogers Publishing Titles
ABC recently announced that Rogers Publishing Limited, Canada’s largest publishing company, has selected it to audit an additional 26 magazines (19 business publications and seven consumer magazines). This means that ABC will now audit all 52 Rogers Publishing audited titles, including some of Canada’s best-known magazines, such as Maclean’s, Chatelaine, Flare, L’actualité and Canadian Business as well as several other leading industry, medical and financial publications. Rogers Publishing’s CEO and President Brian Segal explained today that the move is reflective of the current Canadian marketplace and buyers’ desire for consistent rules and comparably data. “I’m pleased to bring each of our audited magazines under the ABC umbrella, the gold standard in our industry,” Segal said. “As a member of the ABC board, I can personally attest to the quality and integrity of the organization and the services it provides. This consolidation will benefit our advertisers by providing the utmost in consistency and accountability, as well as centralizing in ABC’s robust database the key information they need to plan their media buys.” Media buyers are also supportive of the action taken by Rogers. “I wholeheartedly applaud Rogers for this decision,” said Sunni Boot, president and CEO of ZenithOptimedia Canada. “Advertisers know and trust ABC, its rigorous audit standards and the detailed information contained in its knowledge base. Given recent events in the newspaper environment, this is a welcome breath of fresh air.” Related Links: |
