Results of NewsBulletin Readership Survey
Last month, we asked you to participate in a brief online survey regarding ABC’s member newsletter NewsBulletin. Everyone that participated was entered in a drawing to win free registration to ABC’s 2007 Annual Conference. Thank you to everyone who participated and congratulations to Dennis Cohen of Bauer Publishing, who won the free conference registration.
Here are some highlights from the survey:
- 93 percent of respondents read most or all issues of NewsBulletin.
- 63 percent of respondents read at least three articles in each issue of NewsBulletin.
- 89 percent feel that NewsBulletin does a good job of keeping them informed of ABC news, rules, events and board actions.
- Since the inception of the monthly e-newsletter format in February 2006, 90 percent of respondents felt better informed about ABC news.
- 42 percent forward NewsBulletin articles to colleagues.
- Survey respondents found the following NewsBulletin articles the most helpful or enjoyable:
- Rule clarifications and explanations95 percent
- Audit tips68 percent
- Board actions66 percent
- ABC training47 percent
- FAQs42 percent
- Survey respondents requested more of the following NewsBulletin articles:

Here are some additional comments about NewsBulletin that survey respondents shared with us:
- “I like the electronic NewsBulletin because I can e-mail it to colleagues if there are articles in it concerning their area of responsibility. I also like it because it is easily accessible.”
- “I really like the monthly e-mail format. It is truly easy to use and timely.”
- “I think more case studies naming the magazine or publisher would be very informative. All publishers could learn from these. Case studies would serve as a guide to how ABC interprets its rules.”
