Former Audit Bureau Executive Returns as Vice President in Charge of New York Office
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (March 11, 2008)—The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) named George Bartman vice president, marketing and sales, in charge of its New York office.
Bartman will oversee all sales, promotion and marketing activities associated with ABC’s New York office. He will also work directly with the board of directors and act as staff liaison to ABC’s Magazine Buyers’ Advisory Committee.
He replaces Carie Beeman, who is leaving the organization and relocating to Washington, D.C. for personal reasons.

Bartman initially joined ABC in 1996 to run the New York office. He was elected vice president of sales in 2000. In 2003, Bartman left ABC to become senior vice president, sales and marketing, of Waiting Room Subscriptions Services, a consumer magazine subscription sales agency.
A resident of Mahopac, New York, Bartman earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from Illinois State University.
