ABC to Launch Improved Media Analysis Tools

SCHAUMBURG, Ill., (June 3, 2008)—On June 9, ABC will launch its newly designed e-Data center, featuring a comprehensive suite of media analysis tools with vastly improved enhancements that include a more streamlined navigation, enhanced search functionality, greater ease of use and custom reports.

The new media analysis tools are a welcome addition for media buyers who will benefit from an improved workflow and efficiency. Unlike the current e-Data tools that require users to search by product, the new tools begin with a search by title, parent company, classification, market or circulation size.

“The new look and customized search capabilities of the e-Data tools encourage more user interaction with ABC data,” commented Gladys Searcy, ABC’s director of marketing and sales. “Previously our members had to weed through pages of FAS-FAX reports for specific titles. With the new tools they have the ability to select specific titles and create their own customized FAS-FAX reports.”

New e-Data Features

  • Search results that appear in multiple product tabs
  • Customizable FAS-FAX reports—allows you to download specific titles into reports and conduct side-by-side analyses
  • Create Batch Reports—allows you to view, save and print several ABC reports at one time
  • Preprint Projection Center—an online tool designed to streamline communication between newspapers and advertisers by reducing the need for advertisers to contact multiple newspapers to request updated preprint quantities and distribution information
  • Audience-FAX Trending Tool—a complementary tool to Scarborough’s online Audience-FAX database that allows you to create trending reports by period for circulation, average print and online readership, total combined audience and total unique Web site users
  • New On-Demand Tutorials:
    • Overview of e-Data products
    • Using search methods to customize eFAS-FAX
    • Using eStatements

“The newly designed e-Data tools contain a redesigned home page, offering helpful navigation tips on using the new tools and informative on-demand tutorials,” said Searcy. “Members now also have access to key online databases such the Audience-FAX trending tool and the Preprint Projection Center for circulation trending and data analysis.”

You can view a short video on ABC’s Web site that showcases the product’s new design and search features.
