Audit Status Listing

The Audit Status Listing is an interactive tool that identifies the following information for all open audits for ABC publishing members:

• Current status
• Date of last activity (applies to current status)
• Date of last completed audit
• If audit has been assigned to auditor, the status of the open audit

Information in the Audit Status Listing can be sorted to identify open audits by membership class (magazine, newspaper, business or farm publication), by audit period, and other unique characteristics. View a sample report.

All audits carry one of the following descriptors, as applicable:

Released (date) – this identifies audits that are released and available to members.

Final report process – this identifies audits that have all field work completed and are working their way through the internal review process – including audits that may be out on proof.

Assigned, pending arrival of auditor – Used whenever an audit has been assigned to an auditor, however the auditor has not commenced work on the assignment.

Audit in progress – this term identifies all audits where work is underway however the auditor has not completed the assignment.

Publisher requested delay in audit – Used only when an audit has been started and the publisher wishes to defer the start to a point outside the ‘expected time parameters’ for a publication in the division (e.g. six months for newspapers; nine months for periodicals).

On hold, awaiting publisher data – Describes situations where the auditor is in a position to start, or continue, an audit assignment, however the publisher has not supplied all the data necessary to complete the assignment.

On hold, awaiting auditor – Annotates cases in which ABC has initiated an audit but the auditor left prior to completing the audit for reasons out of the publisher’s control.

The Audit Status Listing is available to those who have already purchased a license to another ABC online product (username and password required). It is accessed via the "Reports and Data Access" button on the right side of every page on this site.
