ABC Rapid Report

New Rapid Report Requirements and Improved Navigation

Rapid Report participants are now required to breakout replica digital edition circulation. Find out how Rapid Report in the Publisher Filing Center has adapted to this new reporting requirement and more.

ABC Rapid Report
ABC Rapid Report allows publishers to voluntarily report their key top-line circulation data on an issue-by-issue basis within weeks of the on-sale or distribution date. The report gives advertisers and advertising agencies timely access to fresh circulation data.

Data Included in the Report Summary
ABC Rapid Report provides advertisers and advertising agencies with top-line data including: subscriptions, paid and verified; single-copy sales; rate base and analyzed non-paid circulation.

Revolving Rapid Report quotes

In addition to the data entered by the publishers, ABC Rapid Report also makes the following calculations: category totals and amount and percent above or below rate base.

ABC Rapid Report Policies and Practices
The following policies and practices are intended to ensure the accuracy of data publishers enter into Rapid Report.

  • Publishers voluntarily participating in ABC Rapid Report assert that the data entered into the program is their best estimation at the time of entry and is in compliance with existing ABC rules and policies.
  • Publishers that participate in ABC Rapid Report and then elect not to complete the submission of six months worth of data will have the following message posted on the ABC Rapid Report summary page: “Publisher elected not to complete submission for all issues in this period.”
  • At the end of the six-month reporting period, the ABC Rapid Report program will automatically calculate a six-month average for each line item. These averages will be compared to the Publisher’s Statement average from that same period.
