Publisher’s Statements & Audit Report Cycles (effective March 7, 2005)
All business publications (U.S. and Canada) have the option to file Publisher’s Statements for a period ending in any calendar quarter. Traditionally, all business publications had to file their statements for the six months ending June and December. They may now file for the six months ending March/September or June/December.
In addition, all business publications also have the option to file quarterly Publisher’s Statements. As mentioned above, the traditional Publisher’s Statements cover a six-month period, however, business pubs now have the option to file four Publisher’s Statements a year – three months ending March, June, September, and December.
- If a business publication member wishes to take advantage of this quarterly reporting option, the publisher needs to notify ABC of this intention at least 15 days prior to the beginning of the applicable audit period.

FOR CANADIAN MEMBERS:
Please note that for Canadian members, the opportunity to file a March or September ending Publisher’s Statement was approved by the ABC board of directors at the July 2004 meeting, effective July 7, 2004.
