Multimedia Reporting
Effective June 2007 Reporting Period
At its July 2007 meeting, the ABC board endorsed the offering of a Multimedia Publisher’s Statement for consumer magazines. This statement provides magazine publisher members the opportunity to report both traditional print circulation and Web site activity in one document.
Magazine members may begin using this report with their June 2007 statements. For those interested in incorporating Web site activity on their ABC report, ABC members are reminded that all data reported must be audited prior to reporting through ABC Interactive.
For those reporting Web site activity within the body of the statement, a new Paragraph 1A would be added to page one of the report. This report does not sum print and Web activity, instead, these two elements are reported separately.
Consumer magazines currently reporting one month of top-line Web data containing unique user and page impression information, will now make reporting in this new Paragraph 1A of ABC’s report. In addition, for these publishers, the statement will be noted as a multimedia report Publisher’s Statement with the listing of both the print publication and Web site URL. A prototype for the reporting of top line data can be viewed online.
For those publishers wishing to make expanded reporting of their magazine’s Web site, reporting of demographic and geographic level information is possible. A sample prototype of expanded data reporting can be found online and features some of the possible reporting options.
As seen in these sample reports, magazines will now have the opportunity to report either a monthly figure or a six-month average to include monthly data, as well as expanded demographic/geographic information.
Magazines interested in the multimedia reporteither a monthly, top-line report or expanded data reportare encouraged to contact ABC Marketing Manager, at (720) 324-0558.
As a reminder, the reporting available is not limited to the examples shown nor is your report required to contain all of the reporting elements contained in the prototype reports. Coordination of the information appropriate for your publication would be determined by our ABC marketing and auditing staff.
