Pre-qualification List

To obtain ABC pre-qualification review for any Deductible Partnership program, ALL of the following items must be provided to your ABC Publisher Relations Representative as a single complete package.

  1. The partner
    1. Name of partner organization
    2. Name of responsible management individual
      • Name, title, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address
    3. Indicate method of sale (retail, telemarketing, Internet, etc.)
    4. List the goods or services with which the magazine will be bundled
    5. Purchase price for good or service (if multiple items use lowest priced item)


  2. The magazine
    1. List of all magazine titles participating in program
    2. Term of subscription offered for each title
    3. Amount of purchase price allocated to the magazine (magazine value)


  3. The refund
    1. Amount of refund
    2. How/where/when the refund option will be presented to the consumer
    3. The language of the presentation of the refund
    4. What the consumer has to do to obtain the refund (step-by-step actions)


  4. Promotional materials
    1. Attach a copy of all promotional materials you will present to the consumer.
      • For retail sales, this includes all store posters, store signs, all advertising (print, radio, TV, Internet, etc.), packaging notifications, and request cards.
      • For direct mail offers, this includes all pieces sent to consumer soliciting the purchase.
      • For Internet sales, this includes all screen shots from the home page of the purchase location through to confirmation of the purchase (confirmation that good or service has been ordered).


  5. Audit documentation
    1. Identify the agent code/source key assigned for fulfillment (for every title involved)
    2. Identify and briefly describe the documentation you will have available to support the following items during audit:
      • Proof that consumer made the purchase of the good or service
      • Proof that consumer paid for the purchase of the good or service


  6. Additional items
    1. Program implementation date
    2. Program duration
    3. Anticipated production quantities
    4. Any other documentation necessary for ABC to conduct a complete evaluation and review of your proposed program
