Summary

Perhaps the most valuable advice regarding the creation of promotional initiatives is “when in doubt, check it out—with ABC.”

It is the publishers’ responsibility to ensure their promotions are executed in compliance with all ABC rules and guidelines in effect at the time they are executed.

If you have an offer you want to ensure complies with ABC rules and guidelines, you are strongly encouraged to contact ABC’s Publisher Relations staff. Upon request, ABC’s Publisher Relations department provides a confidential review of members’ programs and provides feedback noting their compliance to ABC rules or states revisions necessary to bring it into compliance.
