Sanction – New Bylaw Article 7.6 (Effective March 10, 2006)
The ABC board modified its bylaws to expand the circumstances under which the board may impose individual sanctions (other than a total censure) on its members by adopting Article 7.6 Sanctions.
These sanctions can include any of the following:
- Publication to undergo bi-annual audits for a period of two years
- Submit a ‘plan of corrective action’ to ABC staff
- Exclusion from FAS-FAX
- Next two Publisher's Statements to carry a notice of the previous two audit findings
- Cash fine
