Public Notification of Impending Audit Adjustment (effective March 7, 2005)

Situations may occur where ABC auditors are in the process of conducting an audit and it has been concluded that an adjustment to the title’s circulation claims will be made. Prior to the release of an Audit Report identifying this adjustment, the publication may wish to make advance notification to the public.

In such cases where a publication elects to publicize the audit adjustment, prior to the release of the Audit Report, the adjustment must be identified as having been calculated “based on ABC auditors findings.”

This publicity requirement has been incorporated in ABC Publicity Rule A 1.2 Permissions and Prohibitions, section (d).
