Target Audience
Once an eligible purchaser has agreed to buy newspapers to promote its business interest, there is likely a specific group of individuals the newspapers will be directed to.
The target audience, determined by the purchaser, should align directly with the reason it is buying newspapers.
Examples:
- Sarah Jones, realtor, may wish to purchase eight-week subscriptions for new
homeowners who purchased a home with her assistance.
Target Audience: new homeowners who used the services of Sarah Jones, realtor. - Tony’s Restaurant may wish to purchase newspapers to give away to patrons
who purchase a value meal.
Target audience: current patrons of the restaurant. - Jim’s Auto Dealership may want to increase its sales by contacting all residents
in a specific geographic area.
Target audience: current residents - A golf equipment store may wish to purchase copies to obtain new customers.
Target audience: golfers - Subscriber vacation donations are obtained by the publication so newspapers can be provided to hospital patients.
Target audience: hospital patients
