Reporting Format Modifications

U.S. Newspapers Only

The ABC board of directors recently adopted several modifications to the newspaper Publisher's Statement, Audit Report and FAS-FAX formats.

In the summer of 2005, the board adopted modifications that include:

  • Delineation between Core Newspaper, Electronic and Unique Editions
  • Other Paid Circulation - addition of Paragraph 6A
These are effective for all U.S. newspaper members (daily and weekly) beginning with the September 2005 Publisher's Statements, Audit Reports and FAS-FAX.

Also, as a reminder, the board recently adopted a format requiring the reporting of separate circulation averages for each day of the week (a.k.a. Day-of-week reporting). The effective date for these modifications is based on a newspaper's audit report cycle.
