Rule C 2.7 Days Omitted from Averages
Newspapers may omit certain days from the calculation of their average net paid circulation due to weather, printing press breakdowns, etc. The rule governing this opportunity is C 2.7 Omitted Days
In brief, this rule states that in order to take advantage of this option, the net paid circulation on the day to be omitted must vary from the previous corresponding day by no less than five percent (i.e. if omitted day is Wednesday, February 14th, then the net paid circulation for that day must vary from the net paid circulation on Wednesday, February 7th by at least five percent or more). There is a limitation of 10 omitted days per audit year.
ABC must approve all omitted days. All requests for omitted days must be submitted to ABC no later than 15 calendar days after the date to be omitted.
